DOT urine drug testing is a federally regulated drug screening required for employees who perform safety-sensitive functions under the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).
Testing follows strict guidelines established by 49 CFR Part 40 and includes identity verification, chain-of-custody procedures, and laboratory analysis by certified laboratories.

FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
FAA (Federal Aviation Administration)
FTA (Federal Transit Administration)
FRA (Federal Railroad Administration)
PHMSA (Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration)
Transportation employers subject to DOT regulations
Employers enrolled in DOT testing programs or consortia
DOT testing is not optional and must follow federal procedures exactly
How the Process works
Appointment is scheduled through our booking system
Donor presents valid government-issued photo identification
Specimen is collected following DOT chain-of-custody procedures
Sample is sent to a DOT-certified laboratory for analysis
Results are reviewed by a Medical Review Officer (MRO)
Results are sent to DER
How to Prepare
Bring a valid government-issued photo ID
Arrive on time for your scheduled appointment
Be prepared to provide a urine specimen during the visit

What to expect at your appointment
Appointments typically take 15–20 minutes. Identity verification is required, and the collection process is conducted professionally and confidentially in accordance with DOT regulations.
Observed collections may be required in certain circumstances, as determined by DOT rules.
